“And thus it was clear between them, threat made, threat returned.”

“And thus it was clear between them, threat made, threat returned.” This Crumbling Pageant, Volume One of The Fury Triad
It’s a quote from This Crumbling Pageant.
The image was used on the cover of the book, both trade paperback and hardcover.
Originally the ruins from this image were on the front cover, but several people thought they were a city skyline with skyscrapers!
So the fabulous Kim Killion swapped then out for an image of Pentre Ifan, the real Welsh stones that I wrote about in the book without naming them.
So of course, now people think I have Stonehenge on the cover.
Speaking of fabulous–when I told Kim that Persephone is 17 years old and I didn’t want the heroine on the cover to look too mature, what did she do? A custom photo shoot with a 17-year-old girl who isn’t even a model.
I told you she’s fabulous.
And while we’re talking covers… those eyes? Those menacing eyes?
Oh, I can’t even tell you what the folks at Story Spring Publishing call that guy–the one whose picture I cropped and handed over to use only the eyes.
Hot Jesus.
Okay, I told you.
Enough true confessions!
It’s time to commission Kim to do the trade paper and hardcover covers for The Dead Shall Live!
Have a great weekend!
